As a pre-med undergrad, Robin earned a BS in Health Sciences, with a major in Exercise and Sports Sciences, from the University of Arizona. She is certified in a variety of therapeutic massage techniques with a diploma from the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Tempe, Arizona. Her continuing education has included several workshops from Tucson's Desert Institute of Healing Arts with an emphasis on Asian Theory. The American Indian and Hispanic Cultures have influenced her approach to stress and pain management as well. Robin is also at the University of Arizona pursuing a Masters in Public Health, concentrating in Health Behavior Health Promotion, with a focus in ergonomics, worker safety, and injury prevention..
Certified through the National Board for Therapeutic Massage and Body Work (NCTMB), Robin is licensed by the state of Arizona (LMT), and a certified member of the Association of Body Workers and Massage Professionals (ABMP). Her experience, over the past twenty years, includes working in St. Mary's Occupational Therapy, Score Physical Therapy, Frederica's Desert Spa, Elkhorn Ranch, and the Arizona Inn, as well as maintaining her private practice. She is a recent past member of Women In Touch, The American Industrial Hygiene Association, The Business Professionals of Tucson and The National Association of Women Business Owners. Robin stays involved in the community through Child & Family Resources, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and The Ara Parseghian Foundation. She is also a Veteran, having served seven years in the Army National Guard. |
